Our strong bond can nev'er be brok-en formed
in Carver-Price. For sur-passing wealth un-spoken sealed by
friendship tie. Memory's leaf-lets close shall twine around our
hearts for aye. And raft us back o'er life's broad track to pleasures
long gone by. High school life at best is passing, gliding swiftly
by. Then let us pledge in word and deed our love for Carver-Price.
Chorus:
Carver-Price, Carver-Price deep graven on each
heart. Shall be found un-wave-ing truth when we from life shall
part.
REUNION COMMITTEE
On
Labor Day 2003, the Carver-Price Reunion Committee met to reconcile all
the books of the first all Carver/Carver-Price School Reunion.
Reminiscing of the prior 3
days, the committee decided to organize the Carver-Price Alumni
Association. A meeting date was set to schedule the 1st
Alumni meeting at the Carver-Price Cultural Center on October of
2003.By-laws and Articles of Incorporation were established. In December
of 2003, we filed with the Virginia State Corporation and were granted
an Incorporation license.
We partitioned the Board
of Supervisors to name the former Carver-Price School the Carver-Price
Educational Complex. Presently the Appomattox branch of CVCC and
the Carver-Price Legacy Museum are housed in the complex.
Our
goal is to promote daily our mission Statement:
To preserve, convey and
celebrate the heritage and moral values inspired by the faculty, staff
and parents of Carver-Price High School.
